The drive from Marrakech Airport to Gueliz and Hivernage

This is the shortest transfer we run from Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK): 5 km and about 12 minutes. The car follows Avenue de la Menara past the Menara gardens, then turns on to Avenue Mohammed VI, the wide boulevard that runs through Hivernage. Hivernage comes first, with its large hotels and the Palais des Congrès. Gueliz lies just beyond, around Avenue Mohammed V and Place du 16 Novembre.

Pickup and drop-off: straight to the hotel door

Unlike the old city, the new town is built for cars. Streets are wide, addresses have numbers, and your driver stops at the entrance of your hotel or apartment building. That makes Gueliz and Hivernage the simple choice with heavy luggage, pushchairs or reduced mobility.

Traffic, late arrivals and your return flight

Avenue Mohammed VI and Avenue Mohammed V slow down in the early evening, when the 12 minutes can stretch towards 20. Late at night the roads are empty and the price does not change.

For the flight home, a pickup 2 hours 30 before an international departure is usually comfortable from this side of town, because the airport is so close.
